Coyote Music
The songs listed on this page have provided me much comfort and inspiration on my inner journey, especially while I was writing TKC. They speak to me at a deep level. Each song listed is mentioned and most have quoted lyrics in TKC. Music and poetry create a very similar affect in me - they penetrate the surface of my being and sometimes with only a few words, generate an overflow of emotion. I would like to thank the artists listed as well as all musicians, song writers, and poets for sharing their hearts with the world and making our Earth a more beautiful place.
There are times that I am not able to sing some of these songs without the tears flowing ... It is ok, the tears rid my body of all the pain that has been trapped inside - "Let all the hurt inside of you die." (Madonna, Frozen)

Poison Cup, M. Ward (p280, TKC) Coyote CelebrationThe first time I heard Santana's Into The Night it created a longing in me to dance around an African bonfire from dusk 'til dawn with not a thought or care in the world. Commanded and freed by the pulsing drum beats. Feet pounding on primitive Earth, a thick blanket of brilliant stars above, dancing flames, snaking arms, and the smell of Earth and ash. An invigorating breeze - lifting spirits, caressing souls, and mending broken hearts.
All that is in the here and now. All that was, all that there will ever be. Eternity in a night. There are no strangers when we are all one. I've never been to Africa but maybe one day I will go and I'll have the chance to pound my feet on the ancient dirt next to a bonfire on a warm, star-filled African night . . . "Like a gift from the heavens, It was easy to tell, It was love from above that could save me from hell, She had fire in her soul and it was easy to see, How the devil himself could be pulled out of me, There were drums in the air as she started to dance, Every soul in the room keeping time with their hands, And we sang Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay And the voices rang like the angels sing, And we danced on into the night Ay oh ay oh Ay oh ay oh And we dance on into the night Like a piece to the puzzle that falls into place, You could tell how we felt from the look on our faces, We were spinning in circles with the moon in our eyes, The room left them moving between you and I, We forgot where we were and we lost track of time, And we sang to the wind as we dance through the night, And we sang ... Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay " Into the Night, Santana (featuring Chad Kroeber) Below: View from Continental Divide Trail near Loveland pass
